We are delighted to announce that Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) have recently informed us that three of our pupils achieved the highest marks in a total of five Pre-U subjects during the examinations taken this summer.
Charlotte Connell received the highest mark for Pre-U Geography; Bill Freeman received the highest marks for both Pre-U Classical Greek and Latin, and Krit Patarapak received the highest marks for Pre-U Chemistry and Mathematics.
Charlotte has taken up a place at the University of Edinburgh reading Geography, Bill is reading Classics at the University of Oxford (Brasenose), and Krit is at Imperial College London reading Mathematics.
James Kazi, Deputy Headmaster (Academic) said: “We are extremely proud of the achievements of our public examination candidates and we are absolutely delighted that these three former pupils have been publicly recognised by CIE for their academic excellence: they have been and will continue to be exceptional intellectual and academic ambassadors for the School.”
Michael O’Sullivan, Chief Executive, Cambridge International Examinations said: “Congratulations to Charlotte, Bill and Krit at Charterhouse who have worked so hard to achieve this success in their Cambridge examinations. Given the quality of Cambridge Pre-U candidates, winning an award for the highest mark in a Cambridge Pre-U subject is evidence of a performance of the very highest calibre. On behalf of Cambridge International Examinations I offer sincere congratulations for this outstanding achievement.”
