This year the Watts Annual Lecture is hosted by Christopher Le Brun. Christopher discusses painting today, his own work and what G F Watts has to say to artists of our own era. The lecture takes place on Monday 13 March at 7.00 pm, Charterhouse.
One of the great English painters and sculptors of modern times Christopher Le Brun has been a trustee of the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Royal (formerly Prince’s) Drawing School, which he helped to establish in 2000. He was elected President of the Royal Academy in December 2011 and is the 26th President since Sir Joshua Reynolds and the youngest to be elected since Lord Leighton in 1878.
